„Painting is my way to explore life, primarily through the medium of the human body and the versatility of natural forms and colours.
My paintings read like a diary. They capture a particular moment in time, an emotion, a wandering thought, a passion...“
I am an artist, born in Belgium, painting my way through life.
I obtained my MA in clinical and developmental psychology in 1984. The thread tying together my career has been my love for interacting with people from across the world with different culture. In 1991, I took a position as psychologist in Indonesia and later, in 1998, in Bosnia-Herzegovina. In 2005 I moved to Germany, where I still reside. All these years travelling and living abroad providing so many colourful impressions, inspired my artistic work.
Ever since I was young, I joined the youth Academy of fine arts and numerous drawing and painting workshops. I’ve participated in many group and individual exhibitions in Indonesia (1996-2005) and Germany (2007-2017).
Four years ago, I decided to follow my main passion and became an ‘independent professional artist’. In January 2018, I opened „LindArt“, my very own innovative atelier.
I’m attracted to the very nature of oil paints, allowing a relative long working time. It renders oils a versatile and ‘organic’ life. As I am fascinated by water colour painting, I often apply several layers of oils in a transparent way so that the underlying drawing is accentuated.
