"Boon St" is Filip Firlefijn's first play (for the screen). It is based on and inspired by the novel "Minuet" (1955) by former Nobel Prize candidate Louis Paul Boon.

A young married couple from Boston is going through a rough time when the husband returns home from the war in Europe. After having bombed Dresden in 1945, he starts suffering from psychological trauma. Finally a Jewish maid starts helping them out while the wife tries to get a little venture going to save them from blue ruin. The three main acts function as parallel perspectives, moving towards the same dramatic final.

A 40 page preface precedes the (screen)play.
