The volume Metaphors and Knowledge inquires into the epistemic performance of the metaphor – as opposed to traditional forms of scholarly and philosophical knowledge. The interdisciplinary chapters examine the epistemic function of metaphors between philosophy, psychology, economics, natural science, and literary, cultural, and religious studies, with the goal of producing an epistemology of metaphors.
