This volume examines spatial structures and their functions in the vitae and revelation literature produced in the Dominican convent of Engelthal. Theological, liturgical, and mystic imaginings are translated into sophisticated narrative spaces in which the sisters’ religious worldview is depicted and formed. The vitae of the Engelthal nuns therefore prove to be a literature of the dimensioning of the world.
